Your Fix: How to De-stress Before the Holidays

November is rapidly approaching, which meaning the holiday season is right around the corner.  Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Hanukah, and more all mean tons of family celebrations, work parties, gift shopping, cooking, and cleaning. This much planning could overwhelm even the merriest of people. However, you want to enjoy yourself during this time period and not overdo your mind and body.

Now is the time you should get into some everyday habits to relax yourself before the festivities arrive. Breathing techniques, exercises, and fitness are all some ways you can take a step back and focus on yourself for a bit before taking on all of the tasks in your planner. Yoga, running, reading, and breathing are all things you can do to take a step back and revive yourself. You can even take a quick walk to get your legs going and clear your mind for a bit.

Taking fifteen minutes of your day to focus on your own needs can really improve your mental health before you go into overdrive to prepare for the November/December chaos. It’s important to de-stress before the holidays so you can enjoy this special time, as well!
