Is There Just One Right Person for Everyone?

Someone once said to me, “When a woman decides to get out of a marriage, it’s over. A man, instead of getting out, will have an affair.” And that was true for me. I guess you can choose to believe that there’s one person for you and that’s your destiny or you can believe that there might be a series of people who are right for you at different points of your life.

I now have more freedom than ever before. I get to make a choice in every relationship: Does this person make me happy? Is this working for me? When you hear people talk about “dropping off the cliff” after a divorce or saying “it’s all downhill from here” —I don’t feel like that at all. New worlds have opened up to me in so many other ways.
