1 tablespoon granulated sugar
4 ounces gin
6 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
Cut the lemon in half, then cut each half into 4 wedges. Reserve 2 wedges for garnish. Place the remaining 6 pieces of lemon in a cocktail shaker; add the sugar and muddle to dissolve. Add the gin and grapefruit juice, fill the shaker with ice, and shake to chill thoroughly. Fill 2 rocks glasses with ice and strain the gin into each glass. Garnish each drink with a lemon wedge.
